Olympic feel

We had lunch in a rainy Long Beach today, and randomly cruised around a bit. We stopped to take a look at this old swimming arena, which is built right on the beach. It was a training site when the Olympic Games were held in L.A. in -84. The architecture is really cool. The facility was closed today but I took a few photos through the windows of the deserted pool.
Calm inside, but on the outside it's raining heavily..
There's some real creepy feel to unpopulated swimming halls. And everybody knows there's sharks lurking in the water when nobody is in there...

How amazing are these wall pictures of swimming athletes! It must have looked fantastic during the games in -84. Love that they still keep flags from all nations on the walls.
