We did something super fun last night - we went to the Hollywood Park racetrack, and saw several thoroughbred races. So interesting, I've never seen it up close before! The jockeys are so small, and the horses are extremely muscular.
They even have a guy who plays the trumpet before every race. He travels with different race companies, this is his job!
I just couldn't believe the pace, it was hard to get a non-blurry photo!
Before the race each race horse has a warm-up buddy. A person on a much calmer horse that rides next to them and holds the racing horse tight in the bit, so that it can't take off..
And so, the strangest thing is that different bands sometimes plays after the races. Last night, one of Cooper's favorite bands Devo took the stage.
What a fun night! Did not gamble. Phew.
